Question high screeching noise

I have a 1999 3.0 6 cylinder ford taurus that makes a high pitched/screeching sound. It starts off quietly but gradually becomes louder as i drive the car. I already had the belt tensioner pulley replaced, but the noise persists. What could it be? Perhaps another part in that area needs replacing?

Thanx for the response, and yes, I have replaced the belt itself very recently.

One thing to check is the cam synchronizer

The assemblies like to run 'dry' and can/will cause a loud squealing or chirping sound..
