Idle control valve 4.6 explorer

Default Idle control valve 4.6 explorer

I took the idle control valve off 2002 explorer 4.6 i got the two 8 mm screws out cleaned it put it back on got the top screw tight the bottom one gets to a point where you feel it tighting up then keeps turning guess its strpied out? What to do now some one told me to use tite lock stuff on it?

Id install a repair thread insert, if its stripped, its not going to pull up spec/tight the first time..

Which piece is the problem, the retaining screw or the opening it screws into?
If it just the screw , get another screw/bolt. If ,the casting the screw goes into , then I would follow Hayapower' s advice.
