Hey All,

New to this forum and have a few questions that someone may be of help.
We have been asked to swap a 6cyl for a 289 in a 65 Fairlane, this is not something we do every day but we are somewhat old school so why not. The owner is aware of some of the problems like rearend, drive shaft, and what not but our concern is motor mounts, trans mounts, and the likes. It has been some days since we last worked on older cars and swapping things around. But where there's a will there's a way. Any advise would be greatly apprecated.

Thanks,

Larry

I think you can search on line and find the parts needed to do the swap. Some old hot rodder sites may sell the mounts and such.
