New Gal
Hi, I'm not new to Fords by any stretch. My maiden name was Ford! We had one after the other all my life, and of course, after rebelling for a few years in my youth with several (6!) VW Bugs, in '92 I got a 1978 E-350 that did me well for several years before falling apart, piece by wire by part. Other cars came and went.
This spring when my PT Cruiser died for the third time, I got a 2000 F-150 Super Duty Truck. I would have liked it a lot more if I hadn't been seriously lied to about it, by "friends". Anyway, I managed to get rid of it without losing too much, and still have a nice Leer cap to sell, and bought a 2003 E-350 Cargo Van to convert into a camper.
It's got at least 268000 miles on it, which I was not aware of when I bought it--pure clueless-ness on my part, I thought it was lower because I had looked at so many vans in a short period of time, but the price was right and it's in the driveway, and it runs.
There is a little cosmetic rust on the rocker panels, and a little in the floor around the wheel wells, but I have a welder I've been wanting to learn how to use and lots of time, no money to speak of, but lots of time.
Any helpful advice is very welcome. I posted a query about a debate I'm having with myself about either adding a window to the side door, or replacing the door with one with a window already; and I have more questions already, and sure I'll have even more later.
I'm glad I found this forum, and I hope I get some use out of it, and maybe I can help someone else, too.
Pic of the van from the back My first next question is, how much should I be able to get for the "furniture" that was in the van?
