new guy...
I'm new here, too. I have a 2001 Super Duty, I use it to haul my travel trailer for hunting and camping fun. Also use it for a weekly commute to my work from my home, 70 miles distant, and visits to my grandchild, 140 miles distant.
Iposted a question about a hard start problem when cold. It is already answered...now I need time to check it out, but think the adviceseams to bedead-on. I haven't wrenched on this truck yet (97,000 mi. and 6 years.) So I will take my time with it on Saturday. It has been the most trouble-free vehicle I've ever owned (my first vehicle, a '63 Impala SS, was purchased in 1969.)
I used to believe Ford made the best trucks, GM the best cars. But repeated disappointments in design and build quality on the last several GM products I have driven, and thelack of problems with this Super Dutyhave corrected my thinking about all Fords! I bleed Ford Blue now.
I talked my wife into trading her problematic Montana for a new Windstar four years ago, and it has even been better than my truck!
