New guy with '65 Ranchero
Hi all, I just joined today. I'm always pleased to find a Ford-related forum so I can discuss car stuff with others.
I bought myself a '65 Ranchero as a retirement gift to myself. It's an all numbers matching drivetrain front to back; thankfully the previous owner was smart enough not to hack it up. I've been going through it to make it fun & reliable. So far I've rebuilt the front suspension with all Moog parts, added front disc brakes, added an Edelbrock 500 carb, it came with an '83 Mustang GT aluminum intake & Pertronix ignition, added a Monte Carlo bar, subframe connectors, new gas tank, new exhaust, Torq Thrust D's and a Retrosound stereo. I've put 23,000 miles on it since 2015, with the most recent trip from Portland down to the Falcon Nationals in Sacramento this year. It's a simple old car that bring backs my memories of being a car-crazy teen in the mid-60's.
