I am new to this forum and needing help with an idea i have for a project. The plan was to take an old 1967 f100 and put newer f150 chassis with modern suspention and four wheel drive. But keeping the old engine with it like 351w .

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site.

Sounds like a very large task. I could see later running gear with an old style cab n box installed for a retro look. Old 351W? how old? How much "newer" on the 150 chassis considered?

Back in the 70s early 80s we were converting F series pickups from gas to Perkins and Detroit diesels in both manual and Alison trans. Was a BIG job but the platforms were pretty simple to work with like separated transfer case, simple electrical, fuel, emmissions and such. Just time, a thick wallet, and sleepless nights can inspire engineering!
