Hello all,

Just thought I would start a thread and say hi. I am new to this board, but have owned too many fords to list from the time I was 16, just never got around to ever signing up for one of these forums.
My current daily driver is a 2010 escape xlt w/sport package.
My previous vehicle was a 2009 ranger fx4, had to upgrade to larger vehicle as the family is starting to grow.
Didn't think I would enjoy driving this type of vehicle but the v6 with the awd system in these are fun to drive. Peppy on the hwy and a smooth drive.
Only upgrades I have done is installed a set of bi xenon 8000k hid's and a set of 3000k hid fog lights, and a set of 17" blizaks.
Also running royal purple engine oil, wanted to run the atf, but several tech's advised me against running anything expect the ford fluid in these newer 6 speeds as they are veryy sensitive to fluids I was told.
Only major issue I have had with this vehicle was the tranmission was fully replaced at under 5000k.
I now have 37,000k on it and have had no other issues, but still think the tranmission lags at times and at points doesn't know where the powerband is and get confused. Hear this is a common problem, and at last service "35000k" they did a fluish and re program and it was great for about a week then after a few drives home on the hwy, back to being confused.
Other than that the vehicles been great in the snow and ice, impressed me a lot.

Thanks for reading my post!

Cheers!
