Getting ready to refurbish a low mile 400 M and got a bunch of question.

Whats the M in?

 

The wife and I inherited her grandfather's 1978 F150 Ranger Explorer. The 351 m that came out of it had spun a bearing. I picked up a 400 for cheap , it is a older model 71-74 D1AE-AC, other than that, so far from what I can tell it is a low mile motor, it does have some questionable things that in am still investigating.
