Old Fords
Hi all! I am very new to this forum stuff and will probably get this all screwed up, but here goes. I bought a 1990 Ford conversion Van with 50,000 miles (who knows what number could be in front of that) and has a couple of issues that I'd like to present. I live in the desert southwest and have to climb some hills. Most of the time (on pretty level ground the temp gauge stays just above half way) it's OK, although when I use the A/C it runs hotter. It does use water, although I see no water on the ground. But when I have to climb some of these hills out here, this buggy really gets hot. The other problem is, the smog pump makes a terrible rattling sound. I had a guy tell me to just take it off and buy a shorter belt to take up the space. What do you guys think? I do most of this by myself. ThanX!
