older vin #

I just bought a 1979 f-150, and I'm trying to find out what size motor is in it. The vin is F14HCDF3430. every place I've looked wants a 17 # vin. If any one can help I sure would be thankful

here is your answer. The fourth position is the engine spec.

H - V8 - 351cid - 2BBL carb - 1973-80
