please im running out of ideas
ok its an 89 ford ranger xlt with the 140cid 2.3l it only has 66000 miles on her and shes started giving me trouble wouldnt start properly so i replaced the fuek pump and assembly the fuel filter the fuel pressure regulator and the injectors as well as the plugs and wires . everything was going good there for a while the the water pump went out so i replaced the water pump and the thermostat at the same times cause why the hell not ya know them it didnt want to start at all eventually so i did the starter relay , egr bleeder filter and the egr valve as well as the cam position sensor due to the fact your supposed to change those out at 60,000 miles replaced the timeing belt as well . now it will sometimes start no problem at all and other times i have to crank it with the throttle to the floor im dead out of ideas and would love some feed back on this from some one with more experiance than me thanks in advance
I have seen the throttle body to Intake gasket break on these which causes a vac leak. Also the pcv valve fall apart.A vac leak would cause a big difference in the fuel/air ratio.
Possibly why you have to hold the throttle to the floor.Good luck.
