So I found another truck I’d like to get and get rid of my 96 f150. The truck is a 2002 f250 4x4 with a 5.4 in it. The truck has 260,000 miles on it and the man is asking $5000. The things that have been done to the truck include, a full brake job, new intake manifold and coils, and a new battery. I was coming on here to find out whether it’d be a good truck to buy and if the engine would still be in good shape with the miles?

 

If the tires are good, seems ok to me All depends on how well it was maintained as far as engine condition goes. You will likely be looking at timing chain issues soon if it wasn't already done.

.If it doesn't work out, stay away from model years 2005-2008.You will pay a fortune to have spark plugs changed as possible issues doing them if they break in two pieces and drop into the cylinder.
