E40D unit more than likely...C-6 if three speed automatic

does it do this in all forward gears?? Sounds like its very low on fluid...when you turn right the fluid will slosh to one side of the pan and it can suck air up into tranmission pump thru filter...thus losing pressure to activate forward clutch pack...... and it will slip until you slow down and fluid gets sucked back up into filter...restoring pump pressure...and forward clutch pressure

Has it been serviced lately? The filter might not be connected correctly in unit. The seal (or o-ring) on the filter neck might be damaged/missing/installed wrong..(we always took off orange seal and replaced with o-ring since it fit better)..then it can suck air into pump on a right turn even if fluid level is correct...losing pressure and causing forward clutches to slip........or the filter neck might not even be all the way into the bore (if unlikely)

check the fluid level in park with engine running....if fluid is low, fill it and drive again to see if slip goes away....then look under truck to see where its leaking..check cooler lines to make sure no worn spot in line is leaking..or check radiator for cooler leak (fluid leaking into radiator will make a strawberry milkshake in your radiatior)

if fluid level is good....perhaps during last service the o-ring on filter neck came loose or was not installed right..

Do not continue to drive it in this condition...you will burn up the forward clutch pack (if they are not damaged allready)

is fluid smelly or discolored? Normal fluid is bright red (like strawberry syrup) and has faint petroleum smell..

if fluid level is normal...drop the pan and check filter...this will also give you an idea if tranny has issues..

if you find clutch particles in bottom of pan bigger then table salt crystals or if the pan magnet has metal flakes bigger than table salt crystals...then you might have valve body problem where paraticles are causing a valve to stick...

check level...then drop pan if it is normal to address possible filter problem...and see what you find...

worst case scenario.....I have seen a few transmissions act in this fashion when they needed rebuilding....They had filters plugged with lots of clutch material....dropping the pan will identify this possibility very quickly...but fluid will be nasty also...

good luck...hope its a cheap fix...

Trans was rebuilt mech said he didn,t find anything wrong .Fluid level says ok ,does the same thing if you are going slow and let it coast and step back on gas ,you can shift to netural and back in gear and it will go again .Will pull anything you hook to it ,sometimes if you are backing up and let coast it does the same thing .????? >you said mabe oring on filter <I have not pulled pan ,I guess that will be my next steep ,It doesn,t do it in left turn ???? Thanks

The filter neck is on right side (passenger side) of filter where it goes up into valve body...on the extreme right side (passenger side) of transmission pan..so if you turn left...the fluid will slosh to the right..filling the right side of pan (where neck goes up into trans) and it wont suck up air...

if you turn right the fluid will slosh to the left...creating an air pocket on the right side where filter neck goes into valve body and it would then suck up air...causing the loss of fluid pressure.....slipping...etc

check out this pic

see how the filter is shaped? that's why im guessing this is your problem...

dropping the pan is a pain....but that's what I would check first if it was my truck...the symptoms fit....

if this isnt it...then you got a more serious problem...

just my two cents...
