transmission or engine idle problem
Hi Everyone.
I own a 1966 Mustang with a 1978 for 302 engine and a 1966 ford transmission. I recently got the engine running and had the tranny rebuilt. When I go to put it in gear the car jolts and the engine stops. I am not sure what would create this problem. Would the idle be to high or would I have to add more transmission fluid? Any comments would be very helpful. Also if that wasn't enough my engine is missing a timing pointer. I looked on line and they talk about it being on the passenger side. On my engine it looks like it should be on the drivers side..
Thanks
