Welcome... Introduce Yourself...
Hi. I am sxyladywtn and my truck is "Gyrll". Plz do not diss as her name is in honor of my best friend who died tragically 3 years ago. I have a problem on my right front passenger side. It started with me venturing towards Seward and was surprized when my right side felt like it was suffering from a severe flat. We later found out after $201.00 tow home that she had actually suffered from her brake caliper housing bracket being dislogged from the knuckle frame and being jammed into my rotor shield. We really thought this was the problem. After, pounding the shield back out and replacing the bolts we thought she was good to go and low and behold the left side started not wanting to move and giving a really exaggarated sound of like the wheel not being released with a high pitched screech. We now have replaced pads, calipers, and even bled the brakes. At this time, the right side front of the vehicle is now making a loud whom, whom, whom sound as she goes down the road. I need help and cannot afford a mechanic??? She is not deemed a total loss and will still drive just as a good Ford owner that values her vehicle should do, I will not drive her until she is a 100%. Someone mentioned a warped rotor and we are not able to turn the rotor freely by hand when the tire is off...is this a solution?
Hi, I'm Bill. I've got a 1969 Ford LTD. I can get the engine to run but the car is hard to drive because the driver's side mirror does not work properly. Only one of the three wires to the remote-controlled mirror is still attached to the mirror. Each of the three wires is encased in a spiral wire shroud (like the hood release cable is encased in). Two of the wires have broken off (although they still they still protrude beyond the spiral shroud about a half an inch) and the third wire is still attached to the mirror somehow. My question is how are these wires attached to the mirror and how can I fix or repair the mirror? Maybe someone offers a remote control replacement assembly, but where? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there,
OK I'm a newbie on this site so please be gentle with me.
I have just aquired a 1948 Ford F1 1/2 Ton truck and I am looking for advice.
The main info I am after at the moment, although I guess I will be on here a lot, is whether there is a F1 owners club here in UK.
If someone could send me some details, links etc. I would really appreciate it.
That's it for now, got to go and "adjust" the garage door etc. to get the truck in.
Thanks.
BRINO
