Welcome Mike..

No running lamps in Auto and manual selected?
CJB fuses are..
F2.17 15 amp
F2.7 30 amp
Any running lamp function at the trailer connector?
If the fuses check, headlamp switch checks, next step may be to check for power distribution at the VSM (Vehicle Security Module) connector for a possible internal Park Lamp Relay failure

Hi, My name is John, Retired Electrical Engineer, in England. I have just "rescued" a 1989 E150 (351W + C6) from "Storage". It's in need of some TLC on the inside, but surprisingly good mechanically. The electrics have been vandalized somewhat, but I should be able to sort that out, I have a Chilton repair manual! It's my first American Ford, and it's primary function will be to haul a T Bucket to the strip (nearly finished). (I didn't want to tow with my '72 Skylark)

Mystery Box
Looking through the Radiator grill, on my E150, 1989 build. There is a small black plastic box, with a silver sheathed cable exiting, and going through the firewall. It is attached to the radiator support, just inboard of the drivers side head lamp. It has some information molded into the surface, regarding orientation. I have not found a reference to this in any documentation I have. Is it some sort of safety device? Regards, JM˛

Need Help is my 2005 ford escape now a lost cause
Well 1st off I know nothing about cars as you will see from my situation. I wanted to post as a new thread my question but can't see how to do. I am 67 female--- I will give bottom line:
2005 Ford Escape just turned 100,000 mile. Actual problem was a broken radiator hose. My next door neighbor thinking he was going to help me by filling up lost water totally filled the OIL compartment with water... water over flowed into manifold ---even filled up spark plugs.... I did not attempt to start, (even I knew enough not to) anyway so far what has been done is the car drained-- oil changed 3 times--- now white smoke coming out which I was told may be temporary-- oil light is going off and on--- check engine light on giving code for : " fuel level Temperature & fuel rail sensor.
Is this car now a total? Should I get rid of it ASAP or can I drive it another year or so? Is it a disaster waiting to happen?
