Default Drive by Wire

Hello all
Has anyone installed a "Drive by Wire" system into there older Fords?
If the price is right, might not be a bad idea.

The gain does not offset the cost to me.I believe in originality when dealing with vehicles.

There are several inputs and components that react to those inputs that are reqired for drive by wire to work.

I wouldn't say it is impossible , but you might want to get some idea of how it works so you have some idea of what would be involved. Wheel speed sensors would be one of them.

Is there some special reason for considering this?

I've done some reading on the subject... It seems kinda piece meal at the moment.. that is why I asked here..
Some numbers have been around $500. but again they don't seem to give all the info.. pedals. $150 - 250 ?
ECU, I never thought about it until yesterday when a buddy of mine said he saw read about it in a hot rod mag or on the net..
My 62 Wagon did not have the pedal to carb linkage, and the 351C from my 77 Ranchero is cable..
AT least I'm getting there, fire wall insulation went in the other day, heater box went in this morning, Monday will be steering column
parking break and and then carpet... along with the front seat bench...
