anyone have any idea why there is what looks like a paint patch on the door...
about 3 " wide & 8 inches long
we have seen some 2009 Escapes with the patch on both sides...
ours only has the patch on driver side...


what is it ??

the patch doesn't show up in picture...

it is close to the wheel well.
but on the door

 

it is to protect the paint. My silverado has one. Is it kind of clear? Goes up and down? Hope this helps
