I have a 2006 Ford f150 4.2 how do you do the timing on something that does not have a distributor

 

Timing should be controlled by the computer.

Ok I have another question I changed it all six spark plugs yesterday one two and three had carbon build up on the four five and six didn't have them any so what's the problem there

As I mentioned on your other post, provide pictures of all plugs for diagnosis.
