When Your Car Starts Acting Up: What Would You Do?
Hey everyone, I need some advice. Lately my car has been behaving strangely — slight jerks when switching gears and a weird hesitation at traffic lights. Yesterday the dashboard flashed a warning for a few seconds and then disappeared. I’m not sure if it’s something minor or a sign of a bigger transmission issue. Have any of you dealt with similar symptoms before? Did you ignore it at first or go straight to a mechanic?
A lot can depend on who does your work.
The majority of the time if you follow the recommended routine maintenance schedule in your vehicle owner's manual it can prevent a lot of problems up the road.
There will be times when in spite of all good intentions things go wrong.
A perfect example, if you get a load of "bad" gas, if the fuel filter was recently serviced, y0u may not notice much, but if the filter was approaching replacement and couldn't do it's job, it will let you know and always at a most inconvenient time.
So,,,,,,,,,there are things that you can do to MINIMIZE, those inconveniences.
