Hey guys, I have a 302 in my Ranchero and I have been saving up to buy dual exhaust. I also plan to replace the stock muffler, but I'm having trouble choosing what muffler I want.

Im down to a choice between the Flowmaster super 40 exhaust and cherry bomb vortex.

Just wanted to hear some input from the forum, what you guys think sounds better, preforms better, and lasts longer.

 

Sounds better - old cherry bomb glasspacks after a year or two. Performs better - straight through means little to no back pressure - no exhaust back pressure equals better performance (no way around that). Glasspacks use smaller body and are easier to get to clear the scrubline. Take into accound the room you have to place the mufflers first - then buy.
