Lightbulb 1984 Ford Utility Trailer

Would anyone have any info on a 1984 Ford Utility Trailer, UT-740? My father has one and has been told it's very rare. I can't find any info about them on the web. Just want to get an idea of how rare they are and what the value is. Thanks in advance

Question UT-740 Utility trailer

Just purchased this trailer at a private party auction for $700.00. The trailer is in excellent condition. The owners manual states that FMO warrants to the original owner for 6 months. Would like to find out more information if there is any out there. It will look great behind my 1934 Ford.

Default ut-740 trailer

I have one that I bought two years ago for $250, have been pulling behind my Electra-Glide. I modified it by adding two more 4" round tail lights. That was before I discovered what is was. These little trailers pull like a dream , behind a bike that is. I would say they should have been sold thru bike dealers as well.
From looking I can only assume they are extremely rare, due to the lack of information on them.
The on listed on here is for sale at $4000. I think that might be a bit of a stretch, but I could be very wrong.
I did notice on the id sticker (which has since fallen off never to be found) that Ajax trailers in Michigan were either the dealer or manufacturer.

I own one of 2 UT trailers brought to Puerto Rico and I think it is the only one that survived. I bought it in 1984 for $850.00 at a Ford dealer here and had it since that date. I saw one that are selling for $4,000.00 dollars in FL. Are they worth such amount right now ? I would sell mine for 1/2 of that a,ount. aririgoyen@gmail.com
