67 Ford Fairlane- Need Help
I have a 67 Ford Fairlane it doesn't have the original motor in it though, the previous owner put in a 302 from a 72 mustang. The problem I'm having is, when I try to start it I'm getting a rapid clicking that seems to be coming from the starter relay (solenoid maybe?) and it won't turn over to start. I had a friend who's a mechanic, just starting, and he said the ground circuit isn't being completed. Today I cleaned the wires to the battery, and wires to the relay. Thier were grounds going from the battery to the block, and a ground from the starter to the firewall. I cleaned both of them as best I could. Should there be anymore to look for? And is there a way I can wire it to check for myself, make my own ground lines? Now I know I probably have a headache infront of me since I don't know exactly how the pervious person installed it, but my guess would be he did it the fastest and easiest way possible.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check your connections on both sides of the starter relay also. Just in case you're not familiar, trace the positive cable from the battery to it. Had that problem in my old truck this winter. Clean 'em good with a wire brush. This problem will also hamper your charging of the battery. Good Luck.
