HI...I HAVE A 2002 MOUNTAINEER WITH A 4.6L V8.... WHILE DRIVING..THE DOOR ADJAR LIGHT ON THE DASH STAYS ON EVEN THOUGH ALL THE DOORS ARE CLOSED....ALSO WHEN PARKED THE LIGHTS BELOW THE MIRRORS STAY ON...I DON'T WANT TO DRAIN THE BATTERY, SO I DISCONNECT THE POSITIVE LEAD ON THE BATTERY WHEN THE TRUCK IS PARKED....ANY SUGGESTIONS??????...THANKS IN ADVANCE....RON KLEIN

Welcome to the site..

The door ajar swithes are in the door latches.. They are a pin type switch that can collect debris and hang the switch.. Try spraying the door latches concentrating on the lower portion of the latch with a silcone based lube ect. then open/close the doors repeatedly.. Most times it will correct the problem..

 

Also using all caps onForums is considered shouting and is considered rude. You probably would not use all caps in other forms of communications, so why use them on Forums.

Other than that, I think Hayapower has you on the right track.
