Asking $50,000 OBO (kiiiidddiiinnng :P )
Hi everyone, meet Charlie <3
Charlie is the love of my life who has unfortunately been put out to pasture ~5years ago and needs to become an organ donor for others living their van-life dreams.
As you can see from these recent pics (link here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Po?usp=sharing ), he’s a junky ol’ rustbucket but has many scrappable parts and even some new ones (like brand new in-the-box headlights!). I’ve been informed that rodents (which you can see have been happy to nest in there) have chewed the wiring but you can still hotwire the starter solenoid to get him running and moved, but TBH towing is necessary bc again, after sitting for 5yrs he’s kinda grumpy to go any sort of distance.
Not sure what if anything he’s “worth” monetarily but I’d be happy to donate him to anyone who thinks they’d be able to fix him up again or even just throw him in your backyard for extra storage space or a nice little summertime shanty situation.
The blue cushions are in GREAT condition (tho they have been moved to NYC; if you’re interested in them LMK!) and the seats are legit the most cushy, comfortable captain’s chairs you will EVER have the pleasure of treating your butt to :P
I have a clean PA title (somewhere…) and ALL maintenance records dating back to the original owners from the 70’s; the engine has ~40-50k on it (ODO shows 90k), there’s a SUPER COOL “Trip Computer” from the 70’s with original manual that is supposed to calculate things like mpg’s etc, an aftermarket 8-track player and a few boxes of classics (I’m partial to Cher lol), and lots of newer parts - the last work I had done cost me over $3k for the starter/electronics alone.
The TurtleTop from Goshen is an awesome height addition and allows for a queen-sized bed to unstack (600lb weight capacity; the wood/foam/vinyl panels have also been moved to NYC for possible use in my current Prius build-out but I’m open to selling them) and increases interior height to roughly 6ft? Exterior height clearance is 8’4”.
I’m interested in keeping small mementos if he’s destined to be scrapped and parted out… let’s discuss options!
