Default Looking for my parents' 1975 F250

I am looking for my parents' old 1975 F250. We had this truck when I was a kid. My dad did the pinstriping by hand shortly before he passed away.

The last known location of the truck is Sumner, WA.

  • VIN number: F26YRW42604
  • February 1975.
  • Truck Series: F250 4 Wheel Drive
  • Engine: V8 - 360cid, 2BBL carb
  • Assembly on: San Jose, CA
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site Kami..

Being you have the VIN and it was previously registered there, did you contact or go to a WA DMV? They should be able to run the VIN to check for any owner/s of record or its disposition. If it has left the state then the trail may go cold. A lot of time has passed, but you may get lucky. Years ago you could salvage a vehicle without salvage certificate being generated through DMV, and there may be no record if it ended up there. If there's a more current owner on record, you may be able to find some tracking info.

Thank you so much for your reply. I had not gone to the DMV thinking they would be unable to provide me with any information. I will definitely give that a try.
