The future for the Real Estate Market in India looks buoyant. This is mainly because the factors which have been positive for the market during the recent years continue to remain the same. At least for the next few years for sure. The foreign equity policies of the Indian government are more liberal than ever before. There is an increase in the disposable income of the middle class and the prevalence of nuclear families. The global liquidity continues to increase sharply. The pro-active policies of the government which include looser credit policies and financial liberalization shall prevail. The consequent increase in mortgage lending and price increases also continue. All this point to the fact that investing in the Indian real estate has become one of the most lucrative options for the global investors seeking profit.
Property prices in the country have been rising fast. The run-up in prices has attracted a lot of foreign investments. There are the likes of Morgan Stanley, which has invested $68 million in Mantri Developers, a midsized construction firm in Bangalore, and Merrill Lynch, which invested $50 million in Panchsheel Developers, a regional builder. Besides foreign investment, the Indian real estate market has also attracted investment from the domestic front. This behavior of the domestic investors is influenced by many aspects. The rise in the income of the middle class Indian has made this possible for the Indian investors to put the money on real estate. This is further influenced by the attitude change of the young Indian who thinks of buying a house quite early in life. This is very unlike their ancestors. This is also propelled by the increasing number of nuclear families. As the country prepares itself to become the next IT superpower, its real estate sector is progressing. The real estate market in India is on a high growth curve and investors across the world are trying to take full advantage of this.
