i recently fell apon some really good luck. i entered my name into a drawling here in idaho. the grand prize was a $10,000 make over for your 4x4 vehicle. well to fast forward through it, i won. as my reward the off road company sponsoring the build "bucks4x4.com" hooked me up pretty well. they installed a 6'' BNDS suspension, front road armor stealth bumper, warn 9.5 winch, k&n cold air, tuneao cover, 16'' black ultra rims wrapped by 35'' cooper s/t, they re-did my gear ratio to compensate for the lift and bigger tires 4.88 gearing, and capped it off with a limited slip in the rear. ok, i'll admit i loved my truck before, and the love grew ten fold after she got all perddied up. i have always enjoyed taking my truck off road, just mountain trails, or when ever i got tired of pavement i would... turn off. but since the make over i have found my self wrapped into a communty of extreme off-roaders. so i've been out a couple times breaking in all my new toys and here is a little video of a time out.

be warned it's not for the faint of hearts lol. i had a bad approach angle and it was my first time out on something like this. the descent is a 5' water fall.

take a look tell me what you think.

Sounds like you're a lucky man! However, there are a couple of things I'd be sure to be careful with. I have a friend here in PA who owns an '04? F150 4x4. He won a competition at a local muddin' event.... Bloomsburg, PA. It's a pretty big one, maybe you've heard of it? Anyway, he won an ARB air locker & installation, among a few others. He turned his truck over to a shop to have the work completed. He had a keen eye, & noticed things were not the same when he got it back. Believe it or not, the shop had stolen his 5.4 litre engine & replaced it with a 4.6 using the composite 5.4 intake cover to try & hide what they had done. They lifted the truck 6 inches & gave him 38" tires w/ alumium wheels, but only changed the rear gears to 4.10:1 (I believe) & left the front gears stock. He noticed the front axle binding in 4X4, and they blamed it on the new tire size/gear ratio breaking in, and told him it was now "too heavy duty" for normal use, and to only use 4X4 when traction was at a bare minimun. 17 miles into a trail ride in 4X4, with 14" of snow on the ground, 4 guys & hunting gear on board, the front IFS (which was making a grinding noise the entire time, ya know "breaking in") made one final "snap", & lost the gears. He also found that his original matching spare tire had been replaced with an old, dry rotted tire of the incorrect size. When he questioned them they claimed to know nothing about it, & actually stated that it wouldn't matter anyway now because his truck was equipped with 38" tires now. As for the ARB air locker.... it worked excellent.
