2001 v10

Noticed I had a tranny leak took it in front pump seal went out it would be alot cheaper if I pulled it took it in ect had half the fluid left I dont live very far from the shop so we decided to nurse it home well I was almost home when it started slipping than a whining sound as I just pulled in ..shut it down got everything ready to pull it out went to start truck wont turn over like its bound up.so went to pu it there in driveway..got everything unplugged bolt out front and rear ones!..its stuck the transmission will not pull out???? Anyone no why after the sound from it and now wont crank over just makes noise like its wants to but cant ..and tranny wont come out on lost..???

If the trans front pump seized, or grenaded, it would/could lock the motor from spinning. Will it rotate in the opposite direction using the front balancer bolt and a good size breaker bar etc? Or, through the starter opening on the flex plate gear?
Make sure all the bellhousing bolts are removed, starter, and that all the torque converter nuts are all removed. If the motor won’t turn, your going have trouble accessing all the nuts for removal. Sometimes the trans hangs up on the guide dowels a bit, some gentle and even side to side leverage generally will get it moving out.
