I’m trying to find out what tranny I have in my Ford Econoline E350 one ton van...

My local Ford dealer (who was wrong before on another issue) says according to the VIN that it’s a e40d, but every shop I’m calling says it can’t be as the tranny was discontinued by Ford for 2001 vehicles

I’m kind of stuck here, TR code on door says just “e” and my shifter says P R N OD 2 1

help? Thanks

 

What engine is in your van?
Does your van have the OD OFF button on the shift lever?

 

E trans code is 4R100.
4R is basically an upgraded E4
