Default FMX Transmission

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge with FMX transmissions? I can't seem to match up any aftermarket automatic floor shifters with this type of transmission, exclude Lokar. Will a hurst shifter that matches with a c4, c6, and AOD fit? Any help please

You may have to modify the selector on the tranny, but, I bet they just don't offer the bracket to tie the tranny to the cable. They usually bolt a cable stay to the trans pan rail. Have fun trying to blow that tranny up,I have one built by ford in 69 that has eaten two windsors and a 460

Have you looked into a floor shifter from a 69 to 72 cougar?

I thought about pulling one from either an older mustang or cougar, but I wasn't sure if center of the floor was the same, and if not how much fabricating I would have to do, to mount the shifter? Then I thought about putting an original one in from another comet/maverick, but wasn't sure if the linkages would match up to an ftx, considering they only had c4 or c6's. So I was trying to look for an aftermarket one with a cable to connect to the trans. It sounded so much simpler hooking it up that way.
