Transmission vent?!
Good day every one im new to the forum.
Well, I just bought a 2002 ford f150 4.6L reg cab MANUAL. Its got a magnaflow full system exhaust, k&n cold air intake, hurst short shifter.
I got back from a rather short drive and I parked it in the garage only to notice that it was leaking transmission fluid. I went under to investigate, and it turns out that there is a leak between the transmission and the transfer casse. One would think that the gasket is leaking. So worried about how low the fluid was I checked the fluid leve.. As I took out the plug I noticed that it was under enough pressure. So this leads me to belive that the vent is blocked. I looked all over and I only mannaged to find the Transfer Casse vent wich is fine..
I was wondering if any one could tell me where the vent is?
Then what im realy worried about is that I heard that some manual ford transmissions are vented threw the shifter. Is it possible that the vent was threw the shifter and now that it has a hurst short shifter its no longer there?
Thanks
