i own a 89 aerostar my tranny has worked fine untile one day i try to go somewhere and i dont have reverse it kicks in but it feels like its not getting any pressure. If i give it a little gas it dont do anything also it wont drive in regular drive only in overdrive could it be my tourqe converter or anything else ,but it does drive and shifts fine in over drive im stumped need help !

 

Most likely you have gunk messing up your valve body and solenoids.

If so, it is way past time for a rebuild.

Drop the pan. If it does not look CLEAN, you definitely need a rebuild.
