I have a 2002 windstar. When ever I open the back door the light on the dash comes as, which it is suppose to. But when I close the door the light will not go out. Usuall if you do not reopen the door it will go out in about 4 to 5 days. I am assuming the this is a magnetic swith but where is it at. I have cleaned the door to make sure it just was not getting good contact but did not help. Anybody eveer have this problem?? Please help.

 

That is a button contact switch. You can usually spray a penatrate into the latch assembly and open and close the door a few times and it will work. [sm=mail.gif]
