Hello- My friends have an '03 Windstar; the AC compressor simply would not turn on after being disused over winter. Checked refrig. pressure, though not accurate without the compressor running, tried adding a small amount to trigger low-pressure switch to release if it was low. No response. Then, I jumped the low-pressure plug, which worked, got the compressor, fan, whole system running. Yet then, the air did not run cold, and I got some minor icing on the accumulator, despite pressure being well within normal range. I'm thinking it could be air in the line, need vacuumed out and flushed at a shop, but I'd love to fix it myself if possible. Any ideas? Thank you very much
