Default 1992 Aerostar problems

I have a 1992 Aerostar with a 3.0 Litre (2wd).

(1) I'm not getting any heat although the temperature gauge is about in the middle. Will changing the thermostat fix this problem?

(2) The horn does not work...is this a fuse issue or something else?

(3) The power locks don't work...is this a fuse issue or something else?

(4) The driver side power window sticks when I try to roll it down...any ideas why?

(5) The transmission jerks when I put it in gear when I first start to drive. If I come to a stop within the first few minutes it slips out of gear and then jerks again into gear. It goes away after several minutes. Is there an additive I can use to help this?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Great forum!
Thanks in advance!

1. Either a blocked heater core or the fins are getting worn out on the water pump. Has the coolong system ever been flushed out 100%?
4. Window track wearing out? Pull door panel and lubricate the track with petrolium jelly.
5. Has the tranny fluid and filter ever been replaced? If not, being that old, I would have a tranny flush performed. Then have the tranny pan dropped, cleaned out and install a new tranny filter. A flush alone will loosen up crud in the tranny and cause it to get pumped thru the tranny and plug the filter causing a failure. Oneshould always change the filter after a tranny flush. Better safe than sorry and the filter change ofter flush is cheaper than a tranny.

2.) the horn not blowing could be because either the fuse in the fuse panel or the clock spring. I check the fuse on mine, and the fuse was good. So that narrowed it doewn to the clock spring. Check the fuse first, then try to clock spring. I took a steering column that I bought from a junkyard and tried it, and the horn worked when my steering column would blow the horn because of the clockspring.
