2000 windstar flasher wònt turn off and wipers quit working replaced switch on dash what next??

Do you know if the windshield was ever replaced?

Do you know if it is leaking when it rains?
Suspect moisture is getting into a module and when this happens all sorts of unexplainable problems come up.
