Default Electrical issues

Yesterday, I was driving my 2003 Windstar on the highway. I turned on the blinker and the radio, powerwindow, and AC quit. It seemed to be sputtering as well. I got to where I was going (work). It wouldn't start. I replaced the battery and It started fine and drove home no problem. Today I was running an errand and it started again. I replace the Alt. last summer. But it's been 100+ for over a week here. Any ideas?

Do you have access to a volt meter?

Let me add the speedometer stopped working and the hazzard lights would not work as well.

One of the first things you might check is the available voltage right at the battery terminals with the engine and everything off. Then check the reading with the engine running and the headlights on and blower on high speed.
The first check should read at least 12.4 volts.
The second check should not go below 12.0 volts.
There are other checks you can do, but let's see what results you obtain first.

Pulled the alternator. It was bad. Barely two years old. Thank goodness for lifetime warranties. Put new one on and everything is good.
