My 2002 Windstar started squealing and it felt like I was losng a rear tire. When I examined it, it was obvious that the wheel looked like it was falling off. I brought it to a mechanic and learned the rear axle tube was cracked in half. I have never heard of such a thing, and internet research has been no help. Anybody ever heard of such a thing?
