Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This is my pride and joy, MidKnight. She is a 2010 Mustang GT with a 4.6L v8 with a 2.3 Whipple Supercharger pushing currently 540hp. She's mean, fast, and runs great. Only thing that sucks is getting 8 miles to the gallon. But that's the price I pay for performance.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Completely re-built engine after the original stock engine bent a rod from the pressure added by the supercharger. New build includes custom forged internals, new camshaft, new headers valves and fuel injectors. Still has the original 5 speed transmission, but does have a Hurst Short Throw installed. Eventually I will upgrade to a 6-speed. A/C Delete kit has been installed. 8-rib conversion as well for the supercharger, and a beefier tensioner pulley to help mitigate the tensioner from bending under the pressure of the difference of the supercharger spin and the cam spin lag.
Suspension Modifications:
Lowered suspension, looks mean when parked and driving. Too bad I can't really take speed bumps.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Nitto NT555-G2 tires are installed on my Axe Ex12 rims.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
I believe the center console and side mirrors have been dipped into a faux-carbon fiber pattern. Looks cool, but totally pointless.
Carbon Creations CVX v3 hood installed for weight reduction, still helps make her look mean.
Window tint is an obvious addition. Boss 302 style chin spoiler added. Fog lights deleted from grill. Halo lights installed on the main headlamps..
Future Modifications:
Replacing the stock 5-speed transmission with the MT82 (Open to ideas). Replacing the 8-rib Conversion for the belt with the 10-rib option. But will need the original pulleys for the stock 6-rib set-up in order to add on the 10-rib. Will add more interior decals, one on the cup holder with a profile shot of a Knight to go with the current MidKnight decal I have installed on the passenger air-bag cover. Will get MidKnight engraved onto the chrome button for the center console. Still looking for a place that can make custom door sills that say MidKnight to replace the sock Mustang one. Read more ยป
