Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
My wife wanted a mini van because we just had our first child. I saw the Navigator for sale at the dealership for $18,000 and couldn't pass it up(not for a mini van at least). I take pride in my vehicle and keeping it looking good. I must say, though, for a vehicle that costs $65k-70k new, they used some pretty cheap materials on it. I've had buttons fall off. The cigarette lighter broke. The guards that protect the wiring under the seats are constantly falling off. The protective cover over the wires in the trunk is always falling off. But I do have to admit...even after all the cheap things they threw in there, the vehicle is still pretty nice. It rides VERY smooth and shifts very smooth. The heated and cooled seats are a huge plus. And the real wood trim looks great. I do hate the fact that it is hard to find tires for it though. I was told by a rep at Goodyear that the Navigator is the only vehicle that uses 255/70/18 tires. They aren't the cheapest and aren't the most expensive. Cheapest I've found was about $165/tire. And maybe it's just my Navigator, but the outer trim on both sides of the windshield have come off. But living in northeast South Dakota, the wind is always blowing. Sometimes even over 100 MPH winds. And it doesn't help that the speed limit on the interstates in SD are 80 MPH. So I'm sure both of those played a big factor in the trim coming off.
