1930 Ford Model 'A' B-40 Standard Roadster with optional factory rumble seat. This is not a Deluxe model with spare[s] in the fender but rather hung on the back of the body and with the taller windscreen frame by 3 inches. This is more rare.

Body is Lombard Blue with Black fenders and Straw wheels. Colored wheels were always a 'dealer done' shop extra.

Other dealer option was the Quail radiator cap signifying "the snappy performance of the Ford Model 'A'."

Goodyear white walls were very rare as during the depression nobody had money for these expensive tires.

On Fords all the bright work [chrome] was 'rust-less steel', today we would call it stainless steel with nickle plated wind screen pillars and door handles.

Stamped in 19 ga, steel body and fenders, 2300 lb, 202 cu in, 40 hp on a good day, 2800 rpm max, 300 rpm idle, 80 lb flywheel stores a heck of a lot of energy for pulling steep hills in second gear at idle. 60 mph about max, mechanical equalized pull rod 4 wheel brakes and a rear parking brake. 6 volt system with parking, plus hi and low beam head lights. Speedo, trip, amp, fuel gages, 11 gallon tank, manual mixture adjustment, choke, electric bendix starter, between 16 to 26 mpg depends on placement of mixture control. All controls within drivers reach. Lever action shocks and a very comfortable ride over bumps.
