Default need help!!!

My 2004 f150 with a triton 5.7 has a "knock sound" at idle (sounds like a diesel). And... more importantly if I am driving at 45-55mph and "stomp" on it the engine sounds like it is "popping" out of the exhaust until the engine can gain enough rpm to make it clear away.... any suggestions?
