Default Ranger Clutch Question

Hello, my grandmother gave me my granddads old ranger. It is a 90 model with a 2.3 4 banger. I am just trying to fix it up to drive as a work truck. It has not been maintained at all. I just changed the oil/ filter and was reading the owners manual about the clutch resevoir. It said to fill it with brake fluid if the fluid was not up to a certain line. Well the resevoir was empty so I filled it to the line and cranked the engine and pressed the clutch a few times. When I checked the resevoir again it was empty. Do I just keep filling it till it holds fluid? Thanks for your time and info.

You may also want to check the lines ,The master.and the slave. The slave is inside the front of the trans in the bell housing. If the bottom of the bell housing is wet with brake fluid it is the slave.
