Default clutch question

Hi kids, Im new here.....got a question. I have a 94 2wd, 240,000 miles. I replaced the clutch 4 years ago, then the wife got a hold of it, and Im doing it again. Before I pulled it out, I was underneath, checking things out, I had my son push the pedal. I noticed the throwout bearing was riding on the fingers of the pressure plate even while engaged. When I put the new one in, it is the same. (throwout bearing riding on the fingers of the pressure plate ALL OF THE TIME).

Is this normal? I know Ford has a better idea, but Ive never heard of this

Default RE: clutch question

By riding on the fingers you mean making 'constant' contact? This is normal for slave type systems, not only Ford..
