I have a 2003 taurus with factory 6 disk player in console. I frequently received bad disk errors as the changer searches through the disks to play them. These are not burned disks only store bought. player seems to be worse when car is cold. This is the second 6 disk player put in the car. Can anyone help

 

I have the exact same problem with my 2005 Expedition 6 cd in-dash stereo, and like yours, it seems to be worse when it's cold. I've tried store purchased cd's as well as burnt ones and it doesn't seem to matter. Is this just a bad stereo? I had the factoryinstalled Alpine 6 cd in-dash version of this stereo in my 2002 Lincoln LS and never had a problem with it.
