I recently picked up a 96 explorer with the cd changer in the center console. And a tape deck up front. Does anyone know if I can get a ford cd deck with changer controls. Or is there a way to get an aftermarket radio that will work with the changer?

You might want to look here. They have interfaces for all types of applications. Say you get an aftermarket HU, but keep the factory cd changer, they will have an interface for it. You will have to check, maybe call or email them if they have something for your vehicle.

The CD radios all had internal amplifiers and different plugs. You would need this harness from replacementradios.com
