Default Need advice installing after market radio

Im installing an after market radio in a 06 Explorer. Installation went good except the steering wheel controls apparently did not get connected through the harness I bought at best buy. I was at walmart today and looked at their harneses. For this vehicle they had a harness kit with 3 plugs, the one at best buy came with only one. Common sense tells me to buy the one at walmart and try to connect all three to get all the features? I think that a few more wires need to be connected. Anyone point me in the right direction. I had a factory 6 cd changer that died.
