Unhappy Audio repair?

I have a 2013 Ford Flex with a non-functioning audio system. No music/radio and no audio for Sync. I have had the problem diagnosed by a Ford dealer as the audio control module needs replacing, but they want $951+tax to replace it! Just wondered if anyone knows:
1. is this the going rate (I expect a significant chunk of that cost is labour)?
2. is there anyone in the Greater Toronto Area that can do this for cheaper? I am happy to have a reconditioned/repaired ACM.

The price sounds about right for a new ACU(radio), you could see if a junkyard has the same model vehicle and swap that out with yours. I dont know if there's a difference between US and Canada wiring so it might be best to stick with a Canadian ACU
